Don Lockwood (Sonqoba Njengele) and Lina Lamont (Tanique Allers) are the most celebrated silent film couple on the silver screen in 1927 Hollywood. Lina believes all the magazine articles that she and Don are an item, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
With the advent of sound, the studio decides to make a talking picture, but Lina’s voice, being sharp and shrill, needs to be dubbed.
Kathy Seldon (Hannah Moerdyk/Caitlyn Jones), who sings like a dream and speaks so eloquently, is the voice used to disguise Lina’s awful signing and speaking. Lina hears of this news and threatens to sue the studio, but as always, Don and Cosmo (Don’s best friend, played by Daniel Anderson) come to the rescue.
TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FROM COMPUTICKET AT R90 FOR ADULTS AND R50 FOR SCHOLARS AND PENSIONERS.
