The Umtiza Arts Festival, East London’s very own home grown festival, will be bigger and better than last year and is aimed at having even wider appeal thanks to a collaboration between the City’s three cultural giants, The Guild Theatre, The Ann Bryant Art Gallery and East London Museum.
Over 24 acts will be presented over the four-day event which is spread over the Guild Theatre, East London Museum and the Ann Bryant Art Gallery. Entertainment ranged from jazz, Opera, Classical and Gospel concerts, international and local cabaret, comedy, children’s theatre, a circus, talks on art to workshops, food demonstrations, the popular wine tastings and an assortment of food and craft stalls in the outside market will once again take centre stage as the festival unravels East London’s artistic and creative side.
