Living in ‘former colonial zones’ raises many concerns about ‘being’ and an African place in the
world. In seeking to understand one’s purpose on earth, we are constantly challenged and haunted
by the violence of the erasure. This problem challenges for instance how one thinks of festivity and
ritual.
This album does not claim to resolve such complex issues of an African being but opens up space
for us to re-think notions of space and time in this post-colonial time period.
