Following on from “My Story With The Blues”, Misery Loves Company (with the legendary Rob Thompson) returns to turn up the volume!
“Ain’t Nothing But The Blues” features original songs as well as some groovy shuffles and blazingly fast boogies in tribute to favourite blues rock musicians from the early 20th century blues icons – like John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, and Albert King – to trail blazers – like Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, and Jeff Beck – to modern legends like Dan Patlansky, ZZ Top, and Gary Clark Jr.
You’re sure to experience a wide gamut of sounds and emotions with this trio of Rob Thompson on guitar and vocals, Kerry Hiles on bass and Kristo Zondagh on drums.
“the level of virtuosity, and familiarity between, the three musicians made for a wonderful night out.”
“Liked the camaraderie, relaxed approach and dexterity of the musicians.”
“The three musicians created a wall of sound that bigger bands struggle to create. The blues guitar playing of Rob Thompson is impeccably authentic…the drum playing of Kristo Zondagh…is a performance on its own, entertaining in as much as it is complex in its execution. If you have a blues bone in your body, look out for their next performance and DO NOT MISS IT!”
“Very competent and slick/tight band, enjoyed all 3 members tremendously, special mention for the lead guitarist who was not overbearing, simply delivered in no uncertain terms”
